Treasury Hunt Saturday

The holiday weekend has me forgetting what day of the week it is! I almost forgot it's time for Treasury Hunt Saturday, and that would have been tragic. Including the treasuries from today, Glass Addictions was featured in FIVE treasuries for the week!

Maybeads, one of my Fire Divas, curated this adorable treasury called Wrap It Up and included Desire, one of my "lampworkified" keys. It's still active, so please give it some Click and Comment love!

Lauren (Maybeads) makes the cutest and often hilarious lampwork critters. Peppermint the Penguin would have loved to have been included in the treasury! While you are visiting with Peppermint, make sure you look at her HILARIOUS shop banner.

Another Fire Diva, Lea of LAJewelryDesigns, curated Diva Central (still active!) and featured my Ethereal Enclosure focal in this drool worthy collection of beads by the Fire Divas.

Lea's Boro Focal Bead called Ocean Ridge would look stunning in this collection of beads.

Janel, another of my Diva teammates created the Fire Divas Thanksgiving Challenge treasury and included my Modern Simplicity necklace in this stunning treasury.

I have lots of Janel's beads on my wishlist, it's difficult to choose just one. So I will show Red with Metallic Dots. Isn't it delicious?

Enroute curated this GORGEOUS treasury called Sugar Plums Dancing. The purples are a visual treat. My Purple is for Royalty earrings were included with all the other lovely items in this treasury.

Enroute's Seville earrings would make a gorgeous and appreciated gift...especially for me ;o)




Hawkwolf curated Christmas Maille in a tribute to chainmaille creations. He included my Medieval Queen necklace with all these awesome creations.

I think this Gothic/Pirate Skull and Crossbones chainmaille bracelet is super cool! I would totally wear it.

Price of Silver

The chart below shows the fluctuations in the price of silver for 2009. Silver is my favorite metal to work with. As you can see, the price has increased dramatically since the beginning of the year when it was down to about $11 per ounce. It is now at about $18.50 per ounce.

So far I have not increased prices because it seems the end of each year always sees a spike and I should have enough silver to get me through to the beginning of next year. However, if silver continues to rise in value, I will have to increase prices of my silver jewelry in January or February. I am not happy about this, but it's one of the "evils" of creating with precious metals. Thank goodness I don't work with gold. OUCH!
